ATP 3-21.20 provides doctrine for the Infantry battalion of the Infantry brigade combat team (IBCT). ATP 3-21.20 describes relationships, organizational roles and functions, capabilities and limitations, and responsibilities within the Infantry battalion. ATP 3-21.20 publication supersedes FM 3-21.20 and FM 3-21.12.

The principal audience for ATP 3-21.20 is the commanders, staff, officers, and noncommissioned officers within the Infantry battalion.

ATP 3-21.20 applies to the Active Army, the Army National Guard/Army National Guard of the United States, and the United States Army Reserve unless otherwise stated.

This book is a "mini" (half the size of a regular sheet of paper) - A popular size to carry anywhere (briefcase, large pocket, purse) but the print is large enough for easy reading.  The binding is with coil, allowing easy flipping of pages without jamming.
