1-1. GENERAL.
a. Mission. The mission of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) is to plan and conduct special militaryoperations in worldwide support of U.S. policy and objectives.In order to achieve and maintain combat readiness, every individual engaged in or supporting USASOC Airborne (ABN) Operationsmust become and remain familiar with all aspects of this regulation. The guidance contained herein is promulgated under authority of AR 25-30, The Army Publishing Program, 27 Mar 06.
b. Purpose. This document establishes Standing OperatingProcedures (SOP), Command Regulatory Guidance, Requirements, andPolicy for the conduct of ABN Operations by units within USASOC.
c. Scope. The policies and procedures established hereingovern all units assigned to, attached to, or conducting ABNOperations under the authority of the USASOC.
This book is the BIG size (8 1/2 by 11 inches - the size of a regular sheet of paper).
