        This mission training plan (MTP) is designed for the infantry mortar platoon, section, and squad. This MTP provides Active and Reserve Component commanders and staff with a descriptive, mission-oriented training program to train the infantry battalion to perform its critical wartime missions. Although a unit’s missions and deployment assignments impact on the commander’s final set of training priorities, the tasks described herein are the primary ones the Infantry battalion must be able to execute with proficiency. The unit is expected to train all tasks to standard. Standards for training may be made more difficult but may not be lowered.

 The proponent for this publication is HQ, TRADOC. The preparing agency is the US Army Infantry School.      

This book is a "mini" (7 1/4 inches high by 5 1/2 inches wide) size - A popular size to carry anywhere (briefcase, large pocket, purse) but the print is large enough for easy reading.

The covers are laminated for weather protection with black and white inside printing.
