ATP 3-34.40/MCTP 3-40D provides doctrine for the conduct of general engineering support by the Army and Marine Corps. General engineers take their training, experience, capabilities, and understanding of doctrine and apply them to solve and unravel unique and obscure challenges to meet operational needs.
